The financial misdeeds of Enron executives and Bernard L. Madoff seem to have a modern-day cast to them, but when you strip them to their essentials, they are really nothing new. In fact, the world has always featured fraud, deceit and an energetic willingness to take advantage of others for one’s own gain. An exhibition at the Museum of American Finance in New York highlights major financial scandals throughout the nation’s history.
