The Museum of American Finance honored Paul Volcker, he of great height and fiscal stature, with the obligatory gala on Monday night.Laugh line of the gala went to a former New York Fed president, Bill McDonough, who remarked that these gloomy times in finance were ideal for the ethnically Irish because "our favorite social event is a wake."
