The Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society hosts a free public event to celebrate the birth of Alexander Hamilton.

Event Schedule:

Hamilton's Tomb: Blessing and Wreath-Laying
Following a wreath-laying ceremony and the blessing of Hamilton's tomb, speakers will talk about Hamilton's birth and read a special proclamation from the Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis to commemorate the occasion.
Time: 1:00 pm
Location: Hamilton grave site at Trinity Church (Broadway at Wall Street)

Talk: "The Enduring Relevance of Alexander Hamilton"
Dr. Richard Sylla, the Henry Kaufman Professor of the History of Financial Institutions and Markets and Chairman of the Museum of American Finance, will speak on Alexander Hamilton's life and legacy.
Time: 1:15 pm
Location: Trinity Church Sanctuary (Broadway at Wall Street)

Birthday Cakes at Museum of American Finance and Nevis
The AHA Society joins up with the Museum of American Finance and the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society for a unique birthday celebration for Alexander Hamilton. Joint events will be held simultaneously at the MoAF building in Lower Manhattan and at the Alexander Hamilton Museum in Charlestown, Nevis (Hamilton's birthplace in the Caribbean). Through synchronized Skype sessions, both locations will cut and serve birthday cakes for Hamilton. Short comments will be made by dignitaries, and a special ceremony will be held on Nevis's end for their Alexander Hamilton scholarship winners. Stop by for a slice of history...and cake!
