Written in accessible language, the book addresses the challenges and opportunities with investing in the private markets, including understanding the merits of the asset classes, product evolution, structural tradeoffs and how to incorporate these versatile and valuable tools in client portfolios.
About the Author
Tony Davidow is the Senior Alternatives Investment Strategist at Franklin Templeton Institute. He is responsible for developing and delivering the Franklin Templeton Institute's insights on the role and use of alternative investments through independent research and participating in industry conferences and webinars, as well as engaging directly with key partners and clients. He also serves as the host of the Alternative Allocations podcast, which was recognized with a "Wealthie" for Thought Leadership in 2024.
Davidow received the prestigious Investments & Wealth Institute Wealth Management Impact Award in 2020 for his contributions to the wealth management industry and was awarded the Stephen L. Kessler writing award in 2017. In addition to Private Markets, he is the author of Goals-Based Investing (McGraw-Hill 2020). He holds a BBA in Finance and Investments from Bernard M. Baruch College and earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation from the Investments & Wealth Institute and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
