Marcy Cohen
For the past 20 years, Marcy Cohen served as chief legal officer, general counsel and head of regulatory affairs for ING Americas. In that capacity she was a member of the Regional Executive Management Team responsible for strategic planning and decision making, development and implementation of business plans, budgets and P&L performance. She was accountable for governance, compliance, ESG, enterprise risk, cybersecurity/data protection and managing the legal and regulatory affairs of ING’s financial services operations in the Americas. She held similar executive positions at other large global financial institutions based in the United States, Europe and Asia including BNP Paribas, WestLB and Republic National Bank of New York
Marcy retired from her position at ING at the end of March 2026 and has joined Patomak Global Partners as a senior advisor advising clients on a range of strategic, risk and regulatory matters.
Marcy was recently invited to join the board of the Trustmark Insurance Company of New York. She has also served as an independent board member and chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee, member of the Audit, Asset/Liability and Oversight Committees of KEB Hana Bank USA, the US national banking subsidiary of Hana Financial Group, a global financial conglomerate based in South Korea.
Marcy is the recipient of the American Legal Media ”Innovative Leadership Award for Collaborative Leadership” and was recognized as an “Outstanding Woman in the Legal Profession” by the New York County Lawyers Association. She is engaged in various professional and civic organizations and is currently providing board leadership serving as board chair of the Amateur Astronomers Association, Inc. and a former trustee of the CUE Art Foundation. Her artistic interests have resulted in her becoming a published and internationally exhibited photographer and performing as a musician at charitable events such as “Rocktoberfest” on behalf of A Leg to Stand On. She has been a member of the Museum's Board of Trustees since 2015.
