Dan Simon is a writer, entrepreneur and communications executive with more than 20 years of experience across financial services, public relations, marketing and media. He is the co-founder and chairman of Vested, one of the world’s largest financial communications firms, where he has led work for major global brands including Bloomberg LP, Morgan Stanley and Citigroup. He is also the co-founder of Financial Narrative, the world’s largest network of financial services communications and marketing leaders.

A longtime voice on the intersection of finance, technology and communications, Dan is the author of The Money Hackers (HarperCollins, 2020), which explores how technology has transformed our relationship with money and was named Best Small Business Book by the Axiom Awards. He has also been a regular columnist for Forbes, Markets Media and CoinTelegraph. Dan co-chairs the Communications Advisory Board of the Museum of American Finance, where his work focuses on advancing financial literacy and expanding access to financial knowledge.

Building on his experience across communications and media, Dan founded Qwoted, where he serves as CEO. The platform connects journalists with vetted expert sources and serves more than half a million users, including over 50,000 journalists. His work with Qwoted has expanded his focus to the broader challenges facing the media industry, including press freedom, newsroom economics and the evolving working conditions of journalists. Dan also sits on the US Board of Advisors for Reporters Without Borders (RSF) and publishes Qwoted Media, an editorial brand covering the journalists and media professionals who make the news.
