A Profile of Alexander Hamilton

This classroom lesson, based on the Museum’s “Alexander Hamilton” exhibit, will teach students about Hamilton’s life, from his impoverished childhood on the island of Nevis through his singularly important role in the establishment of the nation’s economic system. Students will also learn why it was important for the government to be able to borrow money after the Revolutionary War and will explore Hamilton’s solution to that problem.
